Longton is one of the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent. In the 1970s cabaret stars from around the world used to perform at nightclub Jollees whilst in the 1990s visitors used to flock to Shelley’s Laserdome. Queens Park can be found in Longton and Pheonix Works, situated in front of Longton Railway Station, is a refurbished Pottery Works which is home to several businesses.
