Video Company Goes Virtual with New Meeting Course

Nick-Pilgrim-of-Cinerobota

A Cheshire video production company’s launched a brand new product in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Congleton based CineRobota’s developed an on-line training course on how to hold effective video meetings. With the nation in lockdown and more and more workers using on-line technology to hold meetings the company’s using a major training platform called Udemy to host the course.

The course looks at things like sound, lighting, meeting etiquette, what devices to use, as well as giving tips and techniques to make on-line meetings as seamless and as effective as possible, whether it’s a group meeting or a one to one.

CineRobota’s Managing Director Nick Pilgrim said: “We’re in a strange place with our business as a lot of companies are because of the situation. We predominantly produce video content for our clients, whether that’s TV adverts, social media content, or documentaries but overnight because of the lockdown a lot of our work has been put on hold until later in the year.”

The 33-year-old from Cheddleton added: “So many of us now are holding video meetings every day but how do we know that they’re successful? We probably don’t give as much attention to our on-line meetings as we do face to face ones but a great online meeting could be the difference between getting new business or not and in the current economic climate that’s crucial. We genuinely want this course to help businesses be more successful in what we all know is an incredibly difficult time for everyone.”

Nick added: “Even before this happened, we were diversifying by launching training sessions on how to vlog because we wanted to help companies to produce their own video content. With this course we want to share our skills and help people in the process. The course is two hours long, which means it won’t take up too much of your time, you have access to it forever and it’s accessible on your mobile, laptop or TV.”

The company which was founded nine years ago moved from Newcastle-under-Lyme premises to Congleton last year as it looks to expand into the Manchester and North West areas.
