Stoke Music Festival set for the Bank Holiday weekend
A BRAND new summer family music festival featuring local artists and a silent disco is to take place across four venues in Stoke Town.
Organised by the Quarter – Stoke Town Music Festival – will take place during the August Bank Holiday weekend – Sunday 24 and Monday 25.
Spode-based the Quarter will host local bands such as Adele and Andy, The Hairy Bartenders, Sounds Familiar and KMK on the opening day, and on the Bank Holiday Monday the popular restaurant will also hold a family silent disco.
On the same day, Stoke Minster will welcome families for a Disney themed singalong and show choir performance.
Elsewhere, The Glebe will be holding a Pirate Day on the Sunday, as well as a BBQ, and family fun activities, whilst The Kingsway will have live music featuring Dan Eyden.

Early in the year the Quarter also launched their Outdoor Live events which, along with the collaborative Stoke Music Festival, has received funding from the Stoke High Street Accelerator pilot, which is funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
“We cannot wait for the summer Music Festival in Stoke Town,” says Annmarie Bailey, Co-owner of the Quarter.
“We really wanted to bring a huge celebration to our historic town and by working with other neighbouring venues we are able to do this.
“Stoke has a great community vibe and this festival will be something in which everyone can enjoy.”
Stoke Minster itself hosts a diverse range of musical events throughout the year with vocalists, bands, local orchestras and choir concerts.
Simon Drakeford, Community and Arts Manager at Stoke Minster, said: “Stoke Minster is thrilled to be taking part in the Stoke Music Festival.
“The Family Disney Singalong is a great event for people of all ages to come along and have a good old sing.
“Stoke Town has some great and varied venues, and we hope that this is first of what will be an annual Stoke Town Music Festival.”
