Stellar Spring line up at the New Vic

gary-delaney

The New Vic Theatre have announced a stellar line-up of concerts for 2019.

Junior doctor turned comedian Adam Kay, Britain’s leading one-liner comic Gary Delaney, TV historian Lucy Worsley and North Staffordshire cult character, ‘Eric’, are all on the bill at the New Vic in 2019 as four new shows are announced as part of the spring programme at the theatre.

Adam Kay, hits the theatre-in-the-round on Wednesday 24 April with his medical memoir – This Is Going To Hurt. At times horrifying and occasionally heart-breaking his diary recounts the life of a young doctor and tells what life is really like working on a hospital ward. In this one-night show, he’ll discuss the book in more depth and answer questions from the audience.

On Thursday 23 May, Gary Delaney brings his acclaimed show Gagster’s Paradise to North Staffordshire hot on the heels of sold out dates across the UK. The Mock The Week regular, star of Live At The Apollo and Britain’s leading one-liner comic, Delaney brings an unrivalled volume of high-class gags to the New Vic’s stage for one-night only.

Then, on Wednesday 5 June, Historian and BBC TV Presenter Lucy Worsley presents an entertaining evening of history in Queen Victoria: Daughter, Wife, Mother and Widow, talking audiences through the life, palaces and rich, colourful age of the eccentric, powerful and rather magnificent monarch.

And on Wednesday 22, Friday and Saturday 24 and 25 May, The New Vic will play host to one of the biggest parties around as North Staffordshire cult character ‘Eric’ celebrates his 20th anniversary. Presented by David Graham Productions, Eric’s 20th Anniversary Party promises a mix of 60s music, anecdotes from across the 20 years he’s been visiting the theatre-in-the-round and visits from some familiar faces.

Head to Baba’s What’s ON for New Vic listings.

Tickets are available for all shows now, priced as follows: Adam Kay – £23.00; Gary Delaney – £17.50; Lucy Worsley – £24.00 / £25.00; Eric’s 20th Anniversary Party – £19.50 to £24.00.  Tickets can be booked by calling Box Office on 01782 717962 or by visiting newvictheatre.org.uk. A £1.00 transaction fee per ticket applies online.
