DUST Rising (DR19) presents a compelling exhibition of contemporary visual art that highlights the old Meadows building at the heart of the iconic Spode Works, in Stoke-on-
Trent.

DR19 is a contemporary visual arts event by DUST Rising, featuring an exhibition of newly
commissioned artwork that explores the industry and architecture at Spode. The event presents newly commissioned artwork by eleven artists, together with featured works by four invited Staffordshire University Art and Design graduates will take place between Saturday 7 September 29 September.

The artists who will be showcasing their work this year are: Amy L. Davis; James Dudley-Ward; Amy Foster; Paul Gosling; Kornelia Herms; Joyce Iwaszko; Dawn Jutton; Sara Penny; Chloe Rickett; Deborah Rogers; Terry Shave; Rebecca Shaker; Peter R. Smith; Dan Southward; Laura J. Wilshaw.

“Spode is such a rich site for artists to explore. It is inspiring and demanding and worth returning to time and again. Doing it justice as an artist is the difficult bit,’ said artist Terry Shave.
