Smithfield Works announces exciting partnership with the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce

A popular City Centre co-working hub has announced news of an exciting partnership, which further cements a commitment to supporting local businesses.

Starting from this month Smithfield Works – which is part of the £250m Smithfield development by Genr8 – will become the first ever sponsors for three main training rooms at the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce.

The partnership – which coincides with Smithfield Works’ three-year anniversary – also includes the sponsorship of two networking events set to take place in May and September at the Chambers Lounge, in Etruria.

“At Smithfield Works we are keen to support other local businesses and collaborate as much as we can,” says Adele Simmons, Community Manager at the Hanley-based Smithfield Works.

“Therefore, it was only natural to develop our relationship with the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce and support their popular training room areas.

“We are not too far from where the Chambers is located and we can see how our co-working and office facilities can compliment each other, therefore by working together we can look to provide more opportunities for local businesses, which is great.”

Chris Plant, Deputy CEO at the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce (pictured below) said: “We are proud to welcome Smithfield Works as the very first sponsors of our training rooms.

“This partnership represents a shared commitment to supporting local businesses and the link between our Members’ Lounge, flexible remote working spaces and Smithfield’s modern, dedicated facilities creates a range of excellent remote work options for businesses of all sizes across Staffordshire.”

Smithfield Works also hosted a Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce new member meeting, on March 28, which was attended by 14 different businesses and Adele is set to present to more businesses at a further Chambers new member meeting taking place at Commerce House, in Etruria on 30 May.

Smithfield Works also hosts networking meetings as part of another partnership with CONNECTS networking, which is supported by Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID and is set to widen its member offering following partnerships with neighbouring businesses.
