Shed Stories in Fenton shines a light on a growing UK phenomenon
Shed Stories is a heartwarming performance that celebrates the world of ‘Men’s Sheds’ – community spaces where people come together to make, repair, repurpose, and improve their wellbeing and mental health.
With over 1,200 sheds across the UK, including in Staffordshire, this growing phenomenon provides friendship, purpose, and connection for people of all ages.
This show comes to Fenton Town Hall on Saturday 11 October at 5pm and is funny, thought-provoking, as well as uplifting.
Shed Stories immerses audiences in real-life stories of Shedders, combining theatre, dance, and documentary inspired by interviews with shed members of all ages.

On the same day, Casson & Friends, invite people aged 16+ to join a free two-hour workshop at 2pm, exploring their unique approach to turning conversation into choreography.
Led by Artistic Director Tim Casson, the session is open to all experience levels and includes games, creative exercises, and insight into how the company devises their performances.
Restoke is hosting the company at Fenton Town Hall, having restored and reopened The Ballroom as a vibrant new community arts venue for Stoke-on-Trent.
The music in Shed Stories has been composed by Restoke’s Co-Director, Paul Rogerson and the performance is live-captioned.
