RADIO SHOW DEDICATED TO LOCAL BUSINESSES PARTNERS WITH CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE
A radio show which is dedicated to showcasing Staffordshire businesses has welcomed its first major sponsor.
Business Spotlight – which launched in November 2023 – has agreed a deal with the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, which will start from 1 September.
The sponsorship will help to support the chambers marketing of Let’s Do Business – the Chambers flagship business event taking place at Uttoxeter Racecourse this year on Thursday 9 October.
Since the partnership between Cross Rhythms City Radio and PR firm BabaBaboon began, Business Spotlight has attracted attention from a wide range of businesses including Ironmarket Wealth, Overclockers and legal firm Knights.
Later in the year its 100th episode is set to air and will feature a special VIP guest from the local business community.

Chris Plant, Chief Executive of the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, said: “Business Spotlight is a great platform to shout about the fantastic businesses we have and we are delighted to be a sponsor of the show.
“As a chamber we support anything which helps to share business news from our county and we welcome the opportunity to support this further.”
Jonathan Bellamy, Chief Executive of community station Cross Rhythms City Radio, said: “Business Spotlight is a stand out programme on the radio station, providing snappy insights into the diversity and quality of businesses from our local area.
“It’s not only great radio though, it is a fabulous resource for local businesses, supporting them through giving a voice and platform to showcase themselves further afield.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to see Staffordshire Chambers Of Commerce recognise the value of this programme and to partner with us through their sponsorship.”
Sonya Farrall, host of Business Spotlight and founder of BabaBaboon, added: “It has been an absolute joy to host Business Spotlight and be a part of something which champions fellow businesses.
“We have welcomed some brilliant guests and to have the support of the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce as we near our second year anniversary is amazing.
“We are delighted to partner with them as they also approach the 2025 Let’s Do Business event.”
Interviews for Business Spotlight are both video and audio recorded and a different business is broadcast each week. As well as being broadcast online and via 101.8FM, content is published across multiple social media channels and full interviews can also be viewed on You Tube after broadcasting has occurred.
In the coming weeks staff from the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce will be discussing business topics, plus other interviews from local businesses will be broadcast.
