One of the UK’s most talented young pianists to give concert at Keele University
One of the most exciting and talented young pianists in the country is to give a concert at Keele University.
Amiri Harewood, a rising star whose performances have captivated audiences across the UK and internationally, is to give a piano solo concert in the University’s Grade II listed chapel on Wednesday, May 13.
Named by Classic FM in 2025, as one of its rising stars in the under-30s age category, the London-based pianist is a Grand Prize winner of the Young Classical Artist Trust and Concert Artists Guild International Auditions 2024, and is a regular performer throughout the UK and abroad. He has performed at some of the UK’s most prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Wigmore Hall and Royal Festival Hall, and at the Venice Conservatorio and Mozart Music Festival in Forlì, Italy.

Amiri, who was recently highlighted as being among the ten most exciting young musicians in the world by The Telegraph’s Classical Music Critic, Ivan Hewett, is performing at Keele as part of the Keele Concerts series, organised by ArtsKeele.
Tickets cost £14 and are available from Keele’s Online Store. Keele students and under 16s can attend free. The concert is due to start at 7.30pm.

Other upcoming highlights in the Keele Concerts series include the Maxwell String Quartet on April 22, bringing a distinctive blend of classical and Scottish folk traditions, and Laura Snowden on May 6, an imaginative composer-pianist presented in partnership with the New Vic Theatre.
