The addition of Simon Hilton to the board underscores our dedication to bringing diverse and talented individuals on board including Fiona Wallace, Director of New Vic Theatre, Jane Tunnicliffe, Group Head of Employer Engagement & Training at Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group and Christopher Maydew of Mounsey Surveyors.

Following his appointment, Simon said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to join Newcastle-under-Lyme BID.  Newcastle is a unique market town steeped in history and it holds a special place with me. Both myself and my wife have businesses in Newcastle, and my father operated his business for many years in Newcastle too.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be an integral part of the BID to championing our town, supporting independent shops, cafes, restaurants, professional services and markets and help deliver impactful results for our town.”

Eddie Leligdowicz, Chair of the Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, expressed his enthusiasm about Simon’s appointment, saying: “We are delighted to welcome Simon Hilton to the Newcastle-under-Lyme BID Board of Directors. His extensive experience as well as his connections and passion for the town aligns perfectly with our mission to invigorate and strengthen our Newcastle-under-Lyme. We are confident that Simon’s innovative ideas and expertise will play a significant role in advancing our goals, and we look forward to the positive impact he will bring to the board.”

Simon Hilton’s appointment marks a significant step in the BID’s ongoing efforts to expand its representation on the board, ensuring a diverse and comprehensive cross-section of industry professionals are actively engaged in the revitalisation of Newcastle-under-Lyme.
