New Board Members appointed at Newcastle-under-Lyme BID
Newcastle-under-Lyme Business Improvement District (BID) is delighted to announce the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors following its recent Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Chris Plant, representing Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, and Martin Fagg of Cappello Lounge join the board to contribute their expertise and leadership to further the BID’s mission of enhancing the local business landscape and community vitality.
Chris Plant, Director of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting local businesses and economic growth. Having representation from the Chambers of Commerce on the Board is instrumental in ensuring that the interests of the business community are represented and that strategies align with broader regional economic objectives.
“I am incredibly proud and thankful for the opportunity to join the Board of the Newcastle-under-Lyme Business Improvement District,” said Chris Plant.
“Being part of the BID is crucial for driving positive change and fostering a thriving business community in Newcastle town centre. This is an exciting time for the area and I am confident that through active participation from businesses we can take the town to the next level.
“I’m now looking forward to working closely with the region’s business leaders to continue making meaningful investments in areas such as street cleaning, skills development, and promoting a welcoming environment for visitors.”
In addition to Chris Plant, the Board welcomes Martin Fagg, General Manager of Cappello Lounge who brings invaluable insights from the hospitality and night-time economy sector to the Board.
Recognising the significance of representation, Martin’s appointment underscores the importance of ensuring that the needs and challenges of businesses across various industries, including those in the nighttime economy are effectively addressed.
