New Vic Borderlines reach out to the Community

A shadow-puppet version of Red Riding Hood will be visiting venues across Staffordshire this month as part of a New Vic Borderlines project to combat local food poverty. 

With some performance dates still available, Borderlines are calling on community groups to get in touch if they want the project to be brought to their area. The New Vic Borderlines team will be bringing Fab Food, Fun and Folktales direct to community group locations on tour. The free package includes a performance of a modern shadow puppet version of Red Riding Hood, an activity pack, and a delicious, healthy picnic freshly made in the New Vic café.

Sue Moffat, Borderlines Director said: “This project will build confidence in children and young people to eat healthy food, and will ensure that a number of children receive a great picnic feast during the school holidays. Not only will we be providing nourishment, but we will also be feeding the imagination by engaging young people in positive creative activities with entertaining, uplifting and educational messages about being safe and being kind in difficult times.”
