New Marketing Coordinator for Newcastle-under-Lyme BID

Charlotte-Pearce

Retailers, pubs, eateries, leisure and professional services businesses in Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre can get involved in upcoming social media campaigns being run by the Business Improvement District (BID).

A new marketing coordinator – Charlotte Pearce – has joined the Newcastle-under-Lyme BID team to create engaging campaigns which will showcase and support BID-levy-payers.

Charlotte, who started her new position at the beginning of July, has years of experience having previously worked in digital content creation for a national online gambling company. She also runs a popular blog and Instagram, where she has worked on national campaigns with some of the largest UK household brands including Primark, Marks and Spencer and Next.

Charlotte said: “Highlighting our town centre and encouraging shoppers and visitors into the area is what I love to do the most, so working for the BID really is the perfect role for me.

“I am a local girl and have always been really passionate about our town centre and everything it has going for it. I am well used at creating content to showcase local events, awards and independents and, with BID team expanding and all the exciting plans happening in the area I am genuinely thrilled to have joined at this time. I can’t wait to help make a difference to our fantastic businesses.”

Charlotte will also support the BID’s new manager – Alex Taylor, who started in June – and the BID Ambassadors to plan projects and events, and to work with key town centre partner organisations.

Alex added: “It’s really great to have Charlotte on board. We have been busy making our way around all BID businesses to learn and understand their issues and plans so that we can showcase them all in the best possible way. We are urging shop owners, traders and town centre workers to get in touch with us too. Whilst we have lots of ideas for campaigns to run on our social channels, we are keen for their feedback.”

BID-levy-paying businesses can get involved at no cost by contacting ma*******@*******co.uk
