LONGTON SUPPLIER STEPS UP DELIVERIES TO MEET DEMAND FOR ESSENTIAL PRODUCTS

A Stoke-on-Trent supplier has added extra deliveries to help meet the demands from local businesses and organisations needing essential cleaning products and protective equipment during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Chemical Hut has its own warehouse in Longton and supplies a vast range of products including cleaning chemicals, medical supplies and personal protective equipment.

Now the company, which also provides janitorial products and general consumables such as hand soaps, sanitisers, bin bags, toilet roll and household cleaners, has seen its delivery orders increase by 200 per cent.

Full protective screens have been installed at the supplier’s trade counter and a full delivery service is also being provided to ensure their products reach those who need them.

The Chemical Hut’s, Head of Business Sales, Will Heaney said: “Our trade counter is open and we have the protective screens in place. But we have had a large increase in deliveries and our delivery orders are up 200 per cent. We have seen a considerable rise in demand for our products and we are now making hundreds of deliveries both locally and nationally every day via our regular couriers.

“It soon became apparent a lot of places were struggling to get the things they needed and we have actually helped quite a lot of local key businesses and services to remain open and functional by providing them with what they need to maintain high levels of hygiene.”

The Chemical Hut, which opened in 2007, also supplies janitorial products and general consumables such as hand soaps, sanitisers, bin bags, toilet paper and general household cleaners.

“Our product range is endless and if there are any care homes or emergency services who may be struggling to get what they need we would advise them to give us a call,” adds Will. “The same goes for charities and clinics across Staffordshire and we will do everything we can to help them get what they need.

“Our staff are classed as key workers and following all necessary procedures including social distancing at all times. The majority of the office staff have been working from home for a while, but even with this situation we have been able to carry on getting our products to the frontline.”

Deliveries are made Monday to Friday and orders can be placed via their website or over the phone. Orders can be placed via The Chemical Hut website https://www.chemicalproducts.net/  or by calling 01782 432961 weekdays between 8:30am to 4pm. Chemical-hut-cleaning-products
