Local Letting Agent’s pledge to the community

TEAM FRONT OF SHOP copy

A local letting agent has launched a series of events to support communities and charities.

Staff at Sherlock Homes Letting Agency, which was founded in 2006 by Shaun Jenkinson, will be hosting a series of events to benefit the local community over the next 12 months.

The ‘Sherlock Community Pledge’ started on Thursday 1 December, with a competition, which will see £100 go towards the lucky winner.

Helping in the community is something the letting agency have always prided themselves with and for the last seven years Sherlock Homes have sponsored football shirts for youth team Bentilee Bulldogs, as well as sponsoring other sports clubs throughout Stoke-on-Trent.

Shaun himself has also flown out to Goa, India on several occasions to take football shirts to orphaned children.

“The past few years have been particularly tough for a lot of people, what with the pandemic and the cost of living,” says Shaun.

“As a local business we have supported charities and groups in our area and further afield in various ways over the years, and with the support of others, and now we are stepping things up with our pledge where we will be more actively supporting our communities.”

Various activities, charity fundraisers and more competitions will all form part of the community pledge.

Shaun adds: “We launched the first of our competitions on 1 December, where local residents can win a cash prize of £100 towards utility bills. In January we will run another competition with a cash prize of £100 – again towards someone’s utility bills.

“After that we will be doing various other activities throughout the year – whether that is helping at a local community or sports club, or a charity fundraiser. We will be forming a calendar of events as the months go on.”

Sherlock-Homes-Letting-Agency-team-dec-22Shaun and his team (front) , Clare Tuff (L) , Julie Davies (R) and Ben Turner (C back), are inviting charities and community groups to get in touch with suggestions towards their community pledge.

“We are welcoming suggestions from local groups and organisations and we will be sharing updates via our social media page on Facebook to let everyone know what we are doing next,” says lettings agent, Clare.

Sherlock Homes Letting Agency is located at George Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme. They provide a full management service with lettings for professionals, families and students throughout the surrounding areas.
