Lianne Shea appointed as new Marketing Manager @ NUL BID

Lianne-Shea-NUL-BID-22

Newcastle-under-Lyme BID is proud to welcome Lianne Shea as Marketing Manager.

Lianne will be responsible for the planning and development of marketing and communication strategies and creating engaging campaigns to support BID Levy Payers and promote Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre.

Commenting on her new role, Lianne said: “I am excited to be joining the team at Newcastle-under-Lyme BID and to be working closely with our Levy Payers, key partners and wider community to create and promote what Newcastle-under-Lyme has to offer.

“We celebrate 850 years of the Borough next year and am really looking forward to the challenges ahead as we plan our 2023 activities, creating a variety of events and initiatives to attract and engage with both visitors and locals.

“It is vital our local businesses have the support of the BID, and throughout 2023 Levy Payer engagement will be a prominent part of our strategy alongside actively encouraging our wider community including the 1000’s of new students into the area to visit and enjoy the Town Centre.”

Charlotte Pearce, BID Manager said: “We are really excited to have Lianne on board, she joins with plenty of BID experience having worked in the City Centre BID and brings a great amount of expertise around event promotion and digital marketing. We look forward to her expertise in increasing our engagement with both our levy payers and community whilst aligning with our BID objectives.

“Lianne joined the BID at a vital time in the run up to the annual Christmas Light Switch on ‘Light Up Castle’.  As part of those celebrations, we launched our #ChristmasinCastle social media campaign to advertise the importance of shopping and socialising in our town centre. Christmas is such an important time of year for retail and leisure and we want to encourage shoppers to reconsider their shopping behaviour and buy local as opposed to choosing to shop online.

“In the meantime, we are urging shop owners, traders and town centre workers to get in touch as we are always keen to hear feedback, particularly as we work towards our 2023 delivery plan.”
