Hanley to welcome CBeebies’ favourites for Christmas – and much more

Christmas-image-Hanley-2021

CBeebies’ characters are set to bring festive cheer to Hanley in the run up to Christmas 2021.

Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Business Improvement District (BID) will welcome CBeebies’ characters to The Potteries Centre on various Saturdays.

Personal appearances from the children’s shows Fireman Sam and Norman Price, Moon and Me and Hey Duggee will take place during intervals on Saturday 27 November, Saturday 4 December and Saturday 11 December, respectively – and all for free.

On all three days, the characters will make personal appearances at intervals between 11am and 4pm on each day in the lower mall of the shopping centre and attendees will be encouraged to bring their camera to capture the magic.

Additionally, Elves Behaving Badly Tour come to The Potteries Shopping Centre on November 20.

Stoke-on-Trent BID Manager Richard Buxton said: “We are delighted to bring special appearances from some of CBeebies’ most popular TV shows to the city centre. We are working with Rainbow Productions – the UK’s official licensee of children’s characters – on the events, and are greatly confident in their ability
to deliver wonderful Christmas entertainment. We hope that events like this will encourage people to come out and explore their city centre a little more. And if my grandson is anything to go by, Fireman Sam, Moon and Me and Hey Duggee are sure to be very well received indeed by little ones.”

Amy Whittaker, General Manager of The Potteries Centre, said: “We’re excited at The Potteries Shopping Centre to be hosting these very special guests and look forward to welcoming families to the city centre as part of the celebrations in the run up to Christmas.

“The Potteries Centre will be decked out in twinkling lights and decorations, so we hope that families stay a while and shop with us at this magical time.”

Booking to attend an appearance is required. Timeslots can be allocated per family or group of 6 (maximum) via Eventbrite. Tickets for all events were available from Eventbrite at 12pm on Monday 15 November. Queueing systems will be in place in addition to the ticketing system to ensure the health
and safety of everyone in attendance.
