Expansion for Newcastle Pet Supplies

Newcastle-pet-supplies

AN independent pet shop has found a new ‘larger’ home in its beloved historic market town of Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Newcastle Pet Supplies had been located at 81 High Street for 20 years, but with an ever-growing demand for more quality products, a bigger premises was needed.

Owner Sharon Whittlestone, who took on the business seven years ago, made a decision to relocate across the way to 114 – which saw the new store open its doors to the public on Monday 6 March.

Now with wider aisles and large freezers the store can provide an even wider range of products to pet owners.

Natural dog treats and pick and mix options are on the menu complimented with raw dog and cat foods – not forgetting a range of accessories.

Newcastle-pet-supplies“We have a much bigger space now and we have already received lots of lovely comments from customers,” says Sharon (pictured centre with staff Angela Billings and Lisa Finney).

“We had simply run out of room in the other shop, but now we have plenty of space and it’s great. With the freezers we can provide the raw foods – which have been in high demand – and our wider aisles means it’s more accessible for people with pushchairs or mobility scooters.”

Sharon added: “We love being in Newcastle and it was very important to us to stay in the town. We have some regular customers who travel in to visit us from outside of the borough, from all across North Staffordshire and it’s great to have them visit us in our home town of Newcastle.

“Plus as well as welcoming our regular customers to the new store we have also had new customers coming in – which again has been great. We are an independent pet shop and we are very proud to be in our town centre.”

Newcastle Pet Supplies are open Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm. Free local delivery is also available across North Staffordshire.
