Castle Artisan Events collaborate with World of Wedgwood for a new artisan market

Castle Artisan Events has recently announced an exciting new collaboration with World of Wedgwood with a brand-new artisan market celebrating the very best of local talent and creativity.

Set against the iconic backdrop of World of Wedgwood in Barlaston, the first Wedgwood Artisan Market will take place on Sunday, 13 October 2024 from 10 am to 4 pm.

This eagerly anticipated event will feature an exciting array of artisan traders, offering everything from handmade homewares, unique gifts, and beautiful artwork, to delicious foodie treats.

Visitors will have the chance to explore one-of-a-kind products from some of the region’s most talented makers, bakers, and creators while experiencing the wonder of one of Staffordshire’s most famous pottery producers.

In addition to the wonderful artisan stalls, the market will feature Curiosity Cove, a free activity stall designed to keep little explorers entertained throughout the day with families encouraged to part in the creative fun.

Visitors are also invited to explore the V&A Wedgwood Collection, discovering the rich ceramic heritage of the region through a journey of art, design, and craftsmanship that has shaped Wedgwood into a globally renowned brand.

The first World of Wedgwood Artisan Market will take place on Sunday 13 October 2024 from 10 am to 4 pm at World of Wedgwood, located at Wedgwood Drive, Barlaston, ST12 9ER with future events scheduled on Sunday, 10 November 2024, and a special pre-Christmas two-day market planned for Saturday 7 and Sunday  December 2024 offering a unique selection of gifts and festive treats.

The team behind Castle Artisan Events are riding high after their recent success at the University of Staffordshire Business Awards last month. Co-host Jake Burgess proudly took home the award for Young Business Person of the Year, while the Castle Artisan Events team also won the High Street Impact Award, recognising their outstanding contribution to championing the local creative community.

Their commitment to supporting small businesses and fostering a sense of community has been pivotal to the growth and success of artisan markets in the region. These accolades further underline Castle Artisan Events’ dedication to creating vibrant spaces for local talent to shine.

Jake Burgess, co-host of Castle Artisan Events, shares his excitement for the upcoming event and the collaboration with World of Wedgwood, saying: “We are incredibly excited to host the Wedgwood Artisan Market and celebrate the fantastic local talents right here at World of Wedgwood. The V&A Wedgwood Collection is a testament to the craftsmanship that has thrived in this area for centuries, and the Wedgwood Artisan Market is a wonderful way to continue that tradition of creativity. We can’t wait to welcome guests to what promises to be a truly memorable day.”
