Bringing a Festival Guide to Newcastle-under-Lyme

Georgia-Beratta-and-Jess-Webb

The team behind events including Manchester Pride, the Elrow and UK Festival Awards are aiming to put Newcastle-under-Lyme on the map with a brand-new event.

Newcastle based events specialist GoTo Live are launching a four-day street food party in the town over the next May Bank Holiday.

The event called: ‘Tuck In,’ will take place from Friday May 28 – Monday May 31 on Goose Street Car Park.

The Covid-safe event will combine amazing street food from a variety of traders, live DJ sets including disco, soul, funk, and chart hits as well as an open-air bar. Tuck In will run throughout the day and into the night.

Jess Webb (Right main pic.)  is one of the directors of specialist events company Goto Live She’s launched the Tuck In brand with her business partner Georgia Beretta. They produce events up and down the country and wanted to bring something different to North Staffordshire.

She said: “We really feel like this kind of thing is missing in the area. After living and working in Manchester and London we’ve come back to our hometown and we wanted to create a cool place to hang-out with friends and grab a casual bite to eat and drink. North Staffordshire has such a lot to offer, we want to bring that cool-city vibe here so that people don’t need to leave the area to go to an event like this.

Georgia said:  “Basically, we’re creating an event where it’s all about the food, casual dining and good times. We’ve got various street food traders, an open-air bar, and we’ll have DJ’s playing throughout the day.

“Think of it as a pop-up beer garden with loads of different food to choose from. You’ll be able to book your table at the time that suits you and your group. It’s child and dog friendly too so there’s no need to get a babysitter or pet-sitter, come to that.

Jess added: “We’ll be following all the Government regulations to the letter so that people can rest assured that it’ll be Covid-safe. We only launched our social media platforms last week and hundreds of people have already signed up for more information which shows there’s a real appetite for this kind of event so we’re expecting tickets to sell quickly. It feels so good to be talking about live events again, after a year of not being able to go out and socialise with friends and family, we feel this is much needed. We can’t wait to host the first Tuck In event, with a view to hosting more across the county further down the line.”

You can book a table at a time and date to suit you and tickets go on sale today, via the website www.tuckin.social

Ticket prices start at £14 for a table and you can book a table for two, four or six people.
