Bounce back offers for members at Jubilee2

jubilee-2-newcastle-under-lyme

In a step to make-up for unavoidable lost time at Jubilee2 – and as a reward for their patience – all Jubilee2 gym members are to be given special offers and reduced fees when the popular leisure centre reopens to customers.

Covid-19 Secure measures have been introduced at the centre during lockdown, along with a new online booking system. Pre-booking of all activities is now required and social distancing must be maintained at all times – this inevitably means that there will be a
managed reduction in class sizes and attendance.

There is a range of special membership offers with reduced fees. And, new to J2, access to online and on demand classes to enjoy at home.

There will be a phased reopening and the gym will reopen first, from 9am to 4pm on Saturday 25 July, with pre-booking required online. From Monday 3 August, the centre will also open for exercise and dance classes (8am to 8pm) and swimming (in lanes only).

Online booking for swimming and classes will be made available during the week commencing 27 July, with information on the website and social media.

Councillor Jill Waring, Cabinet member for leisure, culture and heritage, said: “This will come as welcome news for all those who are keen to get back to the gym, fitness training and other leisure activities including online classes after the restrictions of the lockdown. New opening hours at the centre will also allow Jubilee2 staff to work in dedicated ‘bubbles’ and will support the enhanced cleaning regime to ensure a safe and clean environment for everyone.

“Getting back to the gym or going for a swim are so very important for our residents and their families and very much a sign of life getting back to normal, albeit with new safety measures in place. I am going to sign-up as soon as I can myself and I can’t wait. I really am looking forward to a yoga class and a lovely, relaxing swim.”

Jubilee2 is providing a live streamed offer as well as on demand classes that can be accessed from home – this will be available to all members free of charge between August and October and from November will cost just £3 extra per month. This means being able to access up to 40 on demand group exercise classes per day as well as a selection of live streamed classes.

For those who pay by direct debit on monthly or annual subscriptions, there will be no membership fees due until the end of August and in September this re-introductory offer will be followed by a 50% membership fee. To add to this comprehensive package all annual subscriptions will be extended to include the period of closure and by a period of six weeks, to reward customers’ patience and
loyalty.

For those who cancelled their memberships at the start of lockdown and the enforced closure, they can re-join without a re-joining fee for a period of three months from the date of reopening.
