Big Brighter Sleep Out at Smithfield
A team of volunteers took part in the Big Brighter Sleep Out on Friday 26 September, at Smithfield.
The sleep out, which was organised by Brighter Futures – who are a non-profit Registered Provider of Social Housing and Supported Accommodation based in Stoke-on-Trent – took place at the Smithfield estate in Hanley.
Smithfield’s community manager Adele Simmons along with some of the Smithfield Works tenants from Hays and Avison Young, took part in the event – which was organised to raise money for winter essentials for rough sleepers.

Adele said: “It was good to have the Brighter Futures team and supporters for the Big Brighter Sleep Out at Smithfield.
“Everyone did brilliantly in helping to raise more than £2,700 for such an important cause and this will go towards winter packs to include hats, gloves, scarves, hand warmers, flasks and more essentials to help the most vulnerable people stay warm and make the cold nights a little more bearable.”
