Aldi Fenton has fresh new look

A Fenton supermarket has a fresh new look for customers.

The newly refurbished Aldi store in Fenton has 999 sqm of retail space plus a more customer-focused layout with wider aisles. The store employs 26 members of the local community, and the refurbishment is expected to create an additional three job opportunities.

The transformation is part of Aldi’s £300m investment into further improving its stores and services across the UK, and is based on feedback from more than 50,000 customers. The Project Fresh renovations have been ongoing since 2018.

The new-look store offers increased space, dedicated to fresh British meat and fish, as well popular Lacura health and beauty products, award winning beers, wines and spirits, famous Mamia babycare products, and  a new and improved Food to Go section, offering a choice of fresh salads, sandwiches and sushi for busy customers.

The format has been created to make shopping easier for Fenton customers and the new look store will now have wider aisles and clearer signs to make shopping effortless. Fresh bread and cakes have been moved to the last aisle preventing them getting squashed under customers’ shopping and the store will now offer new, easy to browse freezers.

Customers visiting the store can take advantage of Aldi’s famous Specialbuys, which are available every Thursday and Sunday. During opening week, Aldi’s big pet event is back, and the store will be offering a wide range of pet goodies.

Aldi Store Manager Nick Hopwood said: “The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves. We’re committed to making sure that the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our store is on a par with the products and services they’re used to. Customers will notice a few small changes throughout the store to further align with social distancing guidelines, ensuring we keep our community safe, and we thank you for the co-operation in ensuring the safety of both our colleagues and customers.”

The store, which has 97 car parking spaces, is located on Victoria Road, Fenton and reopens on THURSDAY 8 OCTOBER. Monday – Saturday:  8am – 10pm & Sunday 10am – 4pm.
