Community Events – plus Christmas with Audley Brass
Audley Brass is opening are inviting members of the public to join them for behind the scenes ‘rehearsal’ events.
Audley Brass has a very rich heritage in the local community, having been in existence for over 120 years. The band has always been pivotal in many local events such as the annual Remembrance Parade in Audley village, a variety of Christmas performances and carrying the name of Audley wherever they compete nationwide.
Speaking about the initiative, Musical Director Tom Hancock said: “We are acutely aware of the strains that many households currently find themselves under and we want to give our supporters a reason to smile over the coming months. As a self-funded charitable organisation, we are forever grateful for the support the local community gives to us and we want to give a little something back. Our bandroom premises are in use twice a week – we have spare capacity for a small audience, so we thought why not invite those supporters to share a warm space and hot drink with us.”
The bandroom will be open to guests during normal band rehearsal times – typically Wednesdays 7.00 – 9.30pm and Sundays 5.15 – 9.00pm.
As the bandroom capacity is limited, spaces will need to be pre-booked by contacting the band via their social media channels, website audleybrass.org or by emailing au********@*****il.com

Audley Brass are currently preparing for their annual Christmas Concert to take place on Saturday 10th December 2022 at 7.30pm at Audley Methodist Church, New Road, Bignall End. The concert will feature many festive favourites along with a performance of some of the band’s recent Wychavon Festival of Brass programme and a special guest appearance from Audley Community Band. The concert is FREE OF CHARGE and refreshments will be available during the evening.
