Discount entry rate for Hanley Economic Potters ‘Arf Marathon 2023

potters-arf-image

Anyone wishing to enter the Hanley Economic Potters ‘Arf Marathon 2023, will be able to receive a £5 off, if they sign up before the end of July.

The 2022 iconic half marathon saw more than 1600 entrants. The Hanley Economic Potters ‘Arf Marathon will return on Sunday 11 June 2023.

For 2023, entrants will be able to run the 13.1 mile course, walk the route or be part of a relay team of up to 4 team members.

After successfully launching in 2022, the 2k (16-12 year olds) and 1k (5-11 year olds) junior runs, sponsored by BeeActive, will also return.

The Potters ‘Arf is notoriously one of the hardest half marathon courses in the country, and is always well supported from the running community of the city plus anyone looking to increase their fitness levels and take on a big challenge.

Plenty of entrants also raise thousands of pounds for local charities such as Dougie Mac Hospice and the Alice Charity.

Cllr Lorraine Beardmore, cabinet member for culture, leisure and public health said: “The Potters ‘Arf continues to be the flagship running event for the city of Stoke-on-Trent. While the course attracted plenty of seasoned runners, it was great to hear so many people taking on the course for the first time in 2022. For entrants who sign up before the end of July, they will receive £5 off their entry and they can start their training plans knowing their place is secured for 2023.”

David Lownds, Head of Marketing & Business Development at Hanley Economic Building Society said: “We’re delighted to once again be the headline sponsor of the race. Supporting our local community is one of our most important priorities. It’s a fantastic event which continues to grow year on year and with the discount offer, makes it one of the most affordable half-marathons in the country.”
