Artisan Market set for Piccadilly

artisan-market-2022

A brand-new artisan market is taking place in the Piccadilly area of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

Launching on Sunday 27 March, from 10am, the market will boast 40 stalls of local makes and bakes.

Piccadilly Artisan Market is organised by the team behind the successful monthly Castle Artisan Market – which is held in Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre – in collaboration with Stoke-on-Trent BID, and is a new family friendly monthly event seeking to showcase artisan talents from in and around the Staffordshire area.

On Sunday 27th traders expected include Powell’s Pies with their delicious menu of traditional and unique pastry creations all made using locally sourced ingredients, tasty vegan offerings from North Staffordshire based Green Flamingo Food plus meaty snacks and meal ideas courtesy of Staffordshire Savoury Scotch Eggs plus high welfare, free range pork product producers Pen Y Lan Pork

An array of baked treats will also be available from pudding maker Punx Puds, cupcake offerings from Joles Gourmet and creamy cheesecakes from the talented Cheesecakes by Dom as well as truffles and sweet treats from PS Love Box Chocolates

Lovers of locally made art, crafts, homewares and gift ideas will also have plenty to enjoy on the day too.

From wildlife inspired garden ornaments from Kano Design Studio, cute and colourful earrings and accessories from Wear it Quirky and homemade cushions and colourful bunting ready just in time for the Queen’s Jubilee from Kreations – the new Piccadilly Artisan market aims to offer something for every taste and budget.

Organisers have also arranged a free decorating activity with the team from CraftyKidz plus live music organised by Stoke-on-Trent BID.

The first event at Piccadilly / Cultural Quarter area on Sunday 27 March, 10am to 3pm.

Jake Burgess, creator and organiser from Castle Artisan Events, said: “We’re really excited to be bringing this brand-new event to Piccadilly as we are passionate about promoting our hometown and the incredible artisan traders that live amongst us. As locals ourselves, we aim to champion the Potteries and its produce wherever possible, so we’re asking everyone to get behind this new venture by heading over to our Facebook page and by popping down to Piccadilly on the day for what’s sure to be a brilliant launch event.”

Further information including trader lists, product previews and an exciting competition to win £100 in ‘Piccadilly Pounds’ to spend at trader stalls on the day can be found at https://www.facebook.com/PiccadillyArtisan/
