Highly prized training and apprenticeship roles with award winning hair salon John Belfield International are now available as Covid-19 lockdown lifts.

The Advanced and Creative Hair Professional and Level 2 Hair Professional contracts are available through Stepping Stones Education and Training.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn a trade working alongside top class stylists at John Belfield’s King Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme salon,” said Stepping Stones Director Annetta Talbot.

The hairdressing roles are among a variety of apprenticeships up for grabs with Stepping Stones. Others include training contracts in hospitality, business administration, retail, warehousing and customer service.

The care roles are provided through Total Care UK, a company providing home care services which is owned and run by the Stepping Stones directors

The Level 2 apprentices with John Belfield will learn to use products and tools, massage techniques, and a range of cutting techniques including one length, fringe cutting, precision cutting, scissor over comb, texturizing, layering techniques, graduation and clipper work.

Apprentices will work alongside experienced professionals learning all the skills necessary to enjoy a career in a salon.

The advanced hair professional training is designed for skilled hairdressers who can work without supervision. They will take ownership of work schedules and client lists and will have the ability to deliver innovative styles and be at the cutting edge of fashionable trends..

Stepping Stones is based at the Lymedale Business Park. The company is run by Annetta, a very experienced training consultant and her son and daughter, Andy Talbot and Rebecca Miller.

Annetta added: Total Care UK is a home care agency that tailors it’s service for each client to meet their own individual needs. We strive to ensure our clients and their families receive exemplary service whatever our involvement, from 24/7 live-in care to a home visit check in.

“Total Care UK is Quality Care Commission Registered and all carers are employed by the company, we don’t use temporary staff.”
