Graphix help Cadbury World serve up a tasty new look

Marketing solutions innovators Graphix have helped Britain’s favourite chocolate brand revamp and enhance their Cadbury World visitor attraction for 2020.

Stoke-on-Trent based Graphix worked with the design team at Cadbury’s at the Bournville site, which attracts in excess of 600,000 visitors a year. They transformed the entrance areas and corridors by replacing the bland, white walls, with tough, durable wall coverings in the chocolate companies distinctive colour, now known simply as Cadbury Purple.

Steve Ward, Managing Director at Graphix said: “It was fantastic to be chosen to work with the team at Cadbury again. We were asked to enhance the visitor experience, starting with the internal walls at Cadbury World, creating a lasting first impression as people enter Cadbury World. The walls were pretty bland and it was clear they needed some colour and points of interest focussed on the corporate branding. Working with Cadbury’s designers, we decided to wrap the walls in Cadbury Purple and add points of interest, such as wall graphics surrounding a green screen area with various electronic backdrops on the photos. The finished look has a luxurious deep purple tone with messages such as “Make chocolatey memories” and “strike a pose” as visitors are encouraged to use the green screen, props and story boards telling the history of Cadbury. They can then purchase their photo memories for keepsakes to take home. The wall wrapping is highly durable and provides a much better, bolder look than a painted wall. Working with high grade vinyls to meet the correct food grade regulations.”

The colour dates back more than a century and is believed to have been chosen by the Cadbury brothers to honour Queen Victoria. Cadbury is among a series of recent contract successes for Norton-based Graphix. 2020 started with Graphix completing the design, construction and installation of an exhibition stand for Motul Oil at the Autosport International show, held at the NEC, Birmingham. Close to home, Graphix have worked with Parkwood Leisure to design and construct new signage for Biddulph Valley Leisure Centre, South Moorlands Leisure Centre, Cheadle, and Brough Park Leisure Centre, Leek.  The work with Parkwood continues as there are around 30 centres across the UK to rebrand over the coming months.

Graphix are well known for working with Stoke City FC, where they are the club’s official sign and print partners, and large Stoke-on-Trent companies bet365, and Novus. However, Steve said they also regularly worked with many local small and medium sized companies and in recent weeks this has included a full rebrand launch inc van wraps for the MC Group (Moorland Contract Cleaners) and A.R.C. Gas Services and the design, print and installation of wall graphics to create a vibrant office makeover for city centre based Aynsley Insurance.
