Castle Classics returns to Newcastle with over 100 vehicles and a new People’s Choice award
Newcastle-under-Lyme town centre will welcome the return of Castle Classics on Saturday 24 October, bringing over 100 classic and retro vehicles to the High Street and Ironmarket.
Now in its fifth edition, the popular event is delivered by Newcastle-under-Lyme BID in partnership with The Red Haired Stokie and 6 Towns Radio.
The vehicles on display will represent more than a century of automotive history, from early 1900s models to modern classics from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Running from 10am to 3pm, Castle Classics is free to attend and offers a family friendly day out, with music from 6 Towns Radio and food available from Backyard Burgers. Visitors are also encouraged to explore the town centre’s shops, cafes, hospitality venues and independent businesses alongside the vehicle displays.
This year introduces a new People’s Choice award, giving visitors the chance to vote for their favourite vehicle on display. Voting slips can be collected and submitted at the 6 Towns Radio gazebo on the Ironmarket. This joins the five judged categories: Best in Show, Show & Shine, Most Unique, Best Classic and Best Retro.
Charl Pearce, Newcastle-under-Lyme BID Manager, said:“Castle Classics brings an impressive and varied display of vehicles into Newcastle. It attracts everyone from dedicated collectors and motoring enthusiasts to families enjoying a day out, while giving visitors the opportunity to explore our shops, cafes and independent businesses.
“The new People’s Choice award gives visitors another way to get involved and celebrate the vehicles and their owners. We’re looking forward to welcoming back familiar faces alongside new exhibitors and bringing everyone together for a brilliant event to close out the car show season.”
Jenna Goodwin, The Red Haired Stokie, said:“It’s brilliant to be involved with Castle Classics again. I always enjoy chatting to the owners and discovering the stories and history behind their vehicles.
“There are some incredibly unique and beautifully maintained cars on display, making it a great day out for car fans and anyone who appreciates a classic.”
