Collaborative Collective celebrates fifth successful event

The 5th in a series of gatherings of city centre champions, the Creative Collective, took place last week at the Genr8 Smithfield Works building in Stoke-on-Trent City Centre with record numbers of attendees.

Designed to place creativity at the heart of conversations about collaborative opportunities for business, creative organisations, community and visitors in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, the event, in collaboration with Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID, built on previous success in bringing people from a wide range of businesses and organisations together to unlock positive impacts and potential new connections.

After a welcome from Emily Whitehead, who is currently undertaking a project to support businesses & positive narrative building for Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID, the collective heard from a panel of speakers about their experiences of working and collaborating in the city as well as what they can offer to those wanting to get involved to create success.

The panel included Tom Nadin from Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, Olivia Thackstone from the LVEP and Visit Stoke, Darren Washington from Centre Space Arts & Adele-Marie Simmons, Community Manager at Smithfield Works – who provided the event space.

The panel discussion invited questions and discussion about ways to get involved in the city and the Centenary celebrations.

Emily Whitehead said: “The Creative Collective event is a reminder that by simply taking the time to be in the same room to discover what others are planning and delivering unlocks unlimited positivity and potential. The next collective takes place on the 2 July. Please watch out for details from Stoke-on-Trent City Centre BID socials and website.”
