Craig rewarded with Directorship at growing financial service company

From TV repairs, through computers to schools to mortgage adviser, Craig Adams has never been afraid to learn and change.

Now Craig, of Newchapel, has been rewarded for his efforts with an appointment as Director at leading Staffordshire financial company Signature Financial Services. Craig, a father of two, quit a safe job as a hardware engineer and funded himself through CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) exams before landing a job as Mortgage and Protection Consultant at Signature Financial Services, based on the Lymedale Business Park, Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Managing Director Dean Birks said: “Craig has developed into an amazing asset for Signature Financial Services since joining the company in 2007. The fact that Craig made a positive decision to change his career, and then backed himself by funding his own training in financial services demonstrates Craig’s determination to succeed, and that shines through in the way he serves our customers. Craig’s appointment to the Board of Directors is recognition of his ability and commitment.”

Craig said: “I felt unrewarded in my previous career and had a general interest in how the financial services sector worked. Like everyone, I had my doubts about starting afresh but I decided to fund my own studies and it has paid off. I find helping people get finance tailored to their needs and life circumstances rewarding and it is good to know you can make a real difference to a client’s personal or business circumstances. Being recognised by Dean and given a Directorship is a major achievement and I have to thank the whole team at Signature FS as the work ethic is fantastic and has helped me build my career.”

Signature Financial Services has gone from a five to 11-strong team in two-years and is on track for further growth over the next 12 months. The company moved from small offices in the Barracks Newcastle-under-Lyme, to Evolution, at Lymedale, in 2018 to provide better facilities for customers and room to grow. Signature Financial Services has customers across the UK and specialises in a broad range of financial services including mortgages, insurance and commercial finance – from first-time buyers and business protection to critical illness insurance and private medical cover.
